KDY Conversations: Tim Malbon

Tim Malbon, is a founding partner of Made By Many, strategist and the designer of digital solutions. Made By Many uses a hybrid approach of Lean start-up thinking, service design approaches and Agile software development to validate and iterate new value propositions in real time with customer feedback and live data. Tim also sits on the Advisory Board of Boulder Digital Works, and is a judge of The Webby Awards and The Lovies, and a member of IADAS, the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences.

Tim has been creating innovative online community stuff since 2000 and was recently named as one of Revolution Magazine’s ‘Future 50′ – one of the “marketers, authors, entrepreneurs, and thinkers who will shape the digital industry of tomorrow”. It also called him “disruptive and challenging”.

You can watch Tim’s interview here:

At Kyoorius Digiyatra 2014, Tim’s talk focused on moving from campaigns to designing contextual services, demonstrated through projects such as School in a Cloud and Skype in the Classroom. He also raised the question, “What if it’s too complex today to design like we used to?”, exploring the idea of finding solutions to the overpowering complexities of today’s design challenges.
