To Say it

On the first day of 2013, those who took the streets of Bangalore got the first glimpse of tosay.it project in India. 35 posters (with plain black text on white sheet) broadcasting socially relevant messages were placed across the city. The main idea of the project is to strip the whole purpose of design from any kind of “artistic indulgence and layering”.

This ‘intervention’ in Bangalore is an extension of tosay.it project started in Sweden by Egor Kraft, Karina Eibatova and Petr Davydtchenko. The project has now spread to countries like Australia, Austria, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Sweden, UK and Ukraine.

In India, the project is currently undertaken by enthusiasts Rahul Chawda, brand incubator, Bloombox; independent artists Aarti Karwayun and Sara Gokarn and auto manufacturer, Aditya Gokarn. The next three interventions are planned for Delhi and Bangalore. The messages will soon be posted in regional languages too.

If you feel inspired to be a part of this movement, you can write to need@tosay.it. You can use the messages on the website or write your own.
